Cycles and Equipment

It is recommended that you bring your own bike with you. A touring cycle, road bike or hybrid bike should be suitable and must be in good working order, especially the brakes !! Each guest should carry sufficient spares and tools to deal with punctures and minor repairs. We also recommend you bring a bike lock, water bottles and helmet.

Please check the airline you are traveling with for costs, Ryanair currently charge approx £80 for the carriage of bikes.

For those not wishing to bring their own bikes, cycle hire can be arranged. All of the local cycle hire shops only hire out mountain bikes, although there is one shop which does have a really old road bike.

If you want this option then please discuss your requirements with me before booking.

Weather and Clothing

The weather during the autumn, winter and spring months is relatively mild compared to the UK with the average hours of sunshine of at least 6 hours. However, rain is a possibility and you should carry clothing to ensure that you can remain warm and reasonably dry. Sun cream is strongly recommended for exposed skin.

Payment and cancellation schedule

A deposit of £150 per person must accompany the booking form, with final balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. Should you wish to cancel your booking for any reason you must notify us in writing

Travel and luggage carrying

No air travel is included in this tour.

Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) fly direct from many UK airports, Birmingham, East Midlands, Luton, Gatwick, Stansted, Bournemouth direct to Girona. Shuttle transfers between Girona airport and the villa are included in the price of the tour. Alternatively, you can ride from Girona airport to the villa, please ask for directions if you intend to do this.

Accommodation and Meals

The villa has a dinning room with doors leading to terrace, lounge with open fireplace, and sofa bed settee, freesat sky TV, DVD player, kitchen with electric oven and top, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, central heating, private outdoor pool (8m x 4m).

Situated on the edge of the village of Calonge and just a short walk away you will find bars, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.

Lunches and evening meals can be taken at local cafes and restaurants, lunchtime menu or ‘Menu del dia’ starting from 10 euros per person for 3 courses. Alternatively you can make your own packed lunch or prepare your own evening meal at the villa.
